World Environment Day Tree Plantation Drive
On the occasion of World Environment Day, Goa ForGiving organized a Tree Plantation Drive at Campal, Panjim on 5th June 2021. The event saw participation from various dignitaries and citizens, including the Mayor of Panjim Shri Uday Madkaikar, Think Panjim’s Convener Mr. Raj Vaidya, representatives from ICAR, Doordarshan Goa, Goa ForGiving Trust, and Big 92.7 FM.
The plantation drive was marked by heartfelt speeches from ex-councilors, students, and even a 7-year-old speaker, Sarah Lourenco. A visually impaired girl joined the plantation, emphasizing inclusivity and community spirit. The event highlighted collective responsibility towards a greener future and received enthusiastic support from volunteers, CCP workers, and the local community.
