Joint Annual Conference of Indian Society of Malaria and Other Communicable Diseases (ISMOCD) & Indian Association of Epidemiologists (IAE). Since Mr. Gonsalves is very much involved with rehabilitating of the Campal Creek and the waterways of Goa, he was invited to be the Chief Guest at the conference which was held in Goa around the theme, “Reverse the challenge: Vector borne, emerging infectious and non communicable diseases.” This conference fostered dialogue and helped to sharpen focus with an aim to reduce the burden of disease to insignificant levels. The kids who won the painting competition on the topic “Our Vision for the Campal Creek” were also falicitated on that day.
